Hamilton, Ontario’s Sarah Beatty has released a new acoustic roots-folk track “Bandit Queen,” the lead single and title track from her forthcoming sophomore LP, set for release on February 3rd.
Inspired by 19th century outlaw Belle Starr, the album is a modern day blues-driven folk fable featuring country, folk, and jazz stylings. Beatty’s intriguing and soulful voice and snazzy delivery coupled with minimalistic production color the song with nostalgic, and will certainly make you excited for what the rest of Bandit Queen has to offer.
