If you’re anything like us, you’re over the moon for husband-wife Americana duo Shovels & Rope; they’ve released albums, toured, and expanded their family, and just when we thought they had done all the things, they made a major announcement–Shovels & Rope curated the first annual High Water Festival, a weekend of music, food, and drink taking place April 22-23, 2017 at the beautiful Riverfront Park in North Charleston, South Carolina.
High Water aims to be the culmination of all the mental notes and detail-oriented observations the band has made from their own festival experiences, distilled into a weekend that represents all of what they love about being from Charleston, with a star-studded list of bands to dazzle and delight those in attendance–Shovels & Rope, The Avett Brothers, Dawes, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, JD McPherson, Margo Price, Aaron Lee Tasjan, The Deslondes, and more! Dollars from every ticket sold will go to Charleston-focused non-profit partners that are essential to educating and elevating the way of life in the southern coastal community. Tickets go on sale THIS FRIDAY, November 18th, at 10:00 a.m. EST. A limited number of special early bird ticket prices will be available for as long as they last at $99, and there are VIP packages as well. All ticket and festival information can be found at www.highwaterfest.com, and you can join the mailing list here. It’s not to be missed!
