Austin native and indie-folk trailblazer Reed Turner isn’t one to be tied down, in his life or his music. Turner has shifted gears for his latest EP Native Tongue, bringing to life a darker, more aggressive brand of reverb-laden Americana.
In a year marked by health issues and subsequent solitude, Turner transformed his backyard shed into a makeshift workplace, compelled to create rather than wallow. He emerged with his most targeted effort yet, determined to make his mark on the musical landscape.
Now, Turner unleashes the rip-roaring madness of “I Got Love” in video form. Starring Phoebe Hunt, who is also the featured vocalist on the track, the two get into trouble before finally crossing paths; colorful and rowdy, the video features wardrobe changes, a bird-flipping toddler, and a guy wearing a cat as an accessory. Day made.
