Nashville-based singer/songwriter Gideon Grove and producer Matt Williams recorded their haunting and ethereal version of “Silent Night” on a whim, while buried in the studio working on new songs. “We recorded and produced the carol in a single day. ‘Silent Night’ has always been a favorite of mine and I kept fooling around with a version on my acoustic that wouldn’t leave me,” says Gideon. “I have always been drawn to the deep emotion and solemness in the song. The carol, no matter who covers it, always evokes an element of haunting sadness. Matt Williams and I tried to capture that in this version.”
